Our Thriving Futures Therapeutic Intervention Programme is a specialist Tier 3.5 service for neurodivergent children and young people with learning disabilities, autism and trauma related needs. Using a multidisciplinary, trauma informed approach, we provide intensive therapeutic support that helps reduce the risk of unnecessary hospital admissions, police involvement and placement breakdowns. By working alongside families, education, health and social care services, we create personalised pathways that promote stability, strengthen relationships and support positive long term outcomes.
Thriving Futures is a commissionable Tier 3.5 service providing a specialist multidisciplinary team to deliver intensive therapeutic intervention for children and young people who have been accommodated by the Local Authority or who may be in a hospital setting and are at risk of being sectioned.
Using an evidence informed, trauma informed approach, we work alongside families, education, health and social care professionals to create personalised pathways that promote stability, strengthen relationships and support positive long term outcomes.

Our programme has been specifically developed for children and young people who may:
• Have experienced trauma
• Be presenting with attachment differences
• Have additional needs or learning disabilities
• Be autistic
• Be experiencing mental health needs
• Have unmet or unidentified needs

Our model is underpinned by psychological theory and focuses on understanding the individual needs of each young person, rather than responding only to presenting behaviours.
Alongside direct intervention, we work closely with families and the wider professional network, helping everyone involved to better understand needs and provide consistent, therapeutic support.
Every intervention is evidence based and follows our structured six phase model. While the framework provides consistency, every programme is tailored to the individual and remains flexible, responsive and needs led.
Most importantly, our approach is child centred, therapeutic, non prescriptive and non demanding.

Our programme is designed to help young people better understand themselves and to support those around them in meeting their needs effectively, rather than focusing on behaviour change alone.
Through a therapeutic approach that recognises underlying needs, we regularly see:
• Reduced trauma related behaviours
• Improved emotional understanding
• Greater self awareness
• Increased confidence in communicating needs
• Positive progress across home, education and community settings

The outcomes of our Tier 3.5 intervention have been consistently positive and have received support from NHS England and Health Education England.
Our specialist team has successfully supported a number of young people to:
• Return home to their families
• Step down from residential provision where appropriate
• Develop sustainable long term support plans
• Build stronger relationships with the people around them

We welcome referrals from:
• Local Authority Social Care and Commissioning Departments
• Integrated Care Boards (ICBs)
• NHS England
