Skills for care

Great Minds Together are happy to announce that we are now working with Skills for Care to deliver training that will improve the knowledge and skills of Personal Assistants (PAs) and their employers (Individual Employers). The training is based on lived experience, which brings a unique and powerful edge.

Individual employers are those who employ their own care and support staff using a social care direct payment from their local authority or their own money. This can also be a family member or friend of those who require care and support.

Personal assistants (PAs) are people who are employed directly by individuals (or families) who require care and support, rather than care providing organisations.

CPD Courses

As part of the Skills for Care support we offer here at Great Minds Together, we provide up to 7 free accounts per quarter to our Staff Skills academy+ platform. This is an online learning system with over 700 CPD-accredited courses tailored to the care sector. These include essential topics such as safeguarding, person-centred care, autism awareness, mental health, and communication, helping people build the knowledge and confidence needed in their roles.

The accounts can be used flexibly throughout the year, ensuring you will have ongoing opportunities to upskill, work towards remaining compliant, and enhance the quality of care you deliver.
