The Sensory Pod

The Sensory Pod offers an affordable, soothing retreat designed for both children and adults. A safe, immersive sensory pod designed to support neurodiversity, anxiety, emotional regulation, and wellbeing.

It is widely used in a variety of settings, including SEN and mainstream schools, universities, hospitals, libraries, airports, and even private and residential care homes. This tranquil space comes equipped with impressive standard features and optional enhancements.

A standout feature is the mood-lit ceiling, which creates a calming atmosphere and can be instantly adjusted to any preferred colour. The pod is designed to be engaging and comforting, making it an inviting place for anyone to spend time. It is already proving effective in environments focused on supporting individuals with special educational needs and is fostering autism-friendly spaces.

Key Features

  •   8 ft × 4 ft × 6 ft enclosed design

  •   5-colour LED ceiling lights

  •   Integrated screen

  •   Bluetooth speaker system, App/WiFi control

  •   Durable, quiet, comfortable interior

The Safety Sleeper offers a secure, comfortable sleep environment designed for both children and adults.

It is widely used in a variety of settings including home bedrooms, residential care facilities, respite services, travel-situations and hospitals.

This sleep system comes equipped with robust standard features;  such as dense foam frame-pads, a secure coverlet system, stabilising straps and a travel-friendly wheeled suitcase and internal air mattress.

A standout feature is its portability and versatility, allowing the environment to travel with the individual while still delivering a reliably safe and restful space. The bed is built to high safety standards (CE-listed, pressure-tested and fire-retardant materials) and is already proving effective in environments focused on supporting autistic people or individuals with sleep and safety-needs.

Sensory Audits and Recommendations

At GMT, we support schools, families and organisations to create environments where everyone can thrive. Using lived experience and professional insight, we identify sensory needs by carrying out a sensory environment audit which will provide practical, evidence-based solutions, helping to identify:

  • Overstimulating or distressing environmental factors (noise, light, textures).
  • Opportunities to create sensory-friendly spaces.
  • Tailored sensory tools or interventions (fidget tools, lighting, noise reduction).

Our offer to you includes:

  • On-site lived experience sensory environment audits.
  • Written recommendations and reports.
  • Training for staff on lived experience sensory needs.

Why it matters

  • Improve wellbeing and focus for students and staff
  • Reduce anxiety and sensory overload
  • Foster inclusivity and accessibility
  • Enhance overall learning and management
