We are now able to link our students and parents to 57 different training sessions over 6 different passion points: Photography, Videography, Coding, Music, Health & Fitness and Art and Design. There’s more! Apple will create a training session to the needs and interests of the families we are working with and work on programs specifically for our Great Minds community. One Million Mentor’s mission is to transform the process of mentoring for all in the UK. Their ambition is to train, recruit and connect a million mentors to a million young people in order to increase youth employability, support social action and help break down social barriers
We are honoured to be partnered with New Skills Academy. There is a page on our website where anyone can purchase affordable CPD courses in over 1000 subject areas. For families and professionals on our programme or partnered with us, we can offer these completely free of charge.
Action4SEND are a parent-led organisation collating stories from parents that struggle with the system in order to get the best results for their child in education and social care. They intend to collate all the data and present it to Parliament. They also have a support group on Facebook.
We work closely with the founder of Parent Champions Geraldine Hills, who has a wealth of knowledge on how to get your message across when working with services, as well as the Equality Act 2010. Geraldine, being a parent of a child with SEND and having experience in having to navigate the system, has written 8 books on her experiences, and they are all written in a way parents can understand the law. Geraldine also provides training on how to become a parent champion, and support for schools with her parent to parent support model. Her programme is vital for schools and has excellent reviews.
The National Lottery Community Fund, is a non-departmental public body responsible for distributing funds raised by the National Lottery for "good causes". Since 2004 it has awarded over £6 billion to more than 130,000 projects in the UK.
The Community Fund aims to support projects which help communities and people it considers most in need. Over 80 per cent of its funds go to voluntary and community organisations,
We love MCR Charity aim to support young Mancunians to gain the skills, knowledge and confidence they need to succeed. We do this in a variety of ways; by funding work experience to support access to some of Manchester’s top employers, by providing short breaks away from Manchester to build life skills and by working with young people individually to support their next steps to becoming our city’s future leaders!
